It’s called Social Login and it lets beginners use a social account to represent their wallet’s private keys instead of a seed phrase, so — with no seed phrase to write down — clicking ‘Log in with Google’ is all Grandma does to set up and access her wallet each time.
Logging in opens a non-custodial Web3 wallet that currently supports 6 chains — Cardano, Ethereum, Flow, Milkomeda C1, Polygon and Solana — with support for BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and Optimism coming Q2, and functionality to add any EVM chain (plus a mobile app) coming later in the year.

Beginners who don’t have any crypto can buy, sell and trade 400+ assets inside the wallet (no need to use a CEX), and there’s a dApp directory to help users find NFT marketplaces, DEXes, DeFi, games and more. With NuFi, it’s possible to use Dapps on different chains at the same time (something you can’t do with MetaMask) and connect to Dapps even if they don’t support NuFi directly (learn more here).
To bring you this exciting feature, we used technology from Torus and Web3Auth. When your social account (Google, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Discord, Twitch, Apple, Github, LinkedIn, Line or WeChat) is used to create a wallet, a private key is generated and split into shards. These shards are stored securely by Torus network nodes and, when you authenticate by logging in, Torus securely transmits the key shards to your device and reconstructs them into your private key to unlock the wallet. For extra protection, you can enable Web3Auth’s Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and make your wallet more secure than a standard seed phrase wallet.
We’re hoping Social Login helps everyone: crypto beginners who can onboard safely with confidence, the dApps now accessible to Web2 natives, and the blockchains themselves as more users embrace non-custodial crypto management.
