Connect to NFT marketplaces, DEXes and other dApps with NuFi wallet’s new Chrome extension

Starting June 13, Cardano holders can use NuFi wallet’s new Chrome extension to connect to NFT marketplaces, DEXes, DeFi and other Web3 decentralized applications (dApps).
Solana and Flow blockchain dApp connectors will be added by the end of July, enabling users to connect to dApps on different blockchains concurrently with a single wallet — a first in crypto — and making NuFi the ‘MetaMask’ for the blockchains it has integrated.
The addition of a Chrome extension with dApp connector represents a giant leap forward for NuFi and its users; now, it’s quick and easy to connect NuFi wallet to all corners of the decentralized ecosystem to buy and sell NFTs on leading marketplaces, trade tokens anonymously using a decentralized exchange (DEX), connect to DeFi protocols to lend, borrow, farm and provide liquidity for assets, and much more besides.
How does it work?
NuFi’s Chrome extension acts as a bridge between a dApp (like an NFT marketplace, a DEX, or a blockchain game) and a user’s NuFi wallet. While the extension’s dApp connector handles complex processes behind the scenes, the user enjoys a fully frictionless experience: one click to connect, and one click to buy or sell an NFT, swap tokens, or do any of the exciting things made possible by decentralized applications.
How do I use NuFi’s Chrome extension?
To use NuFi’s Chrome extension, first download it from the Chrome web store here. When it’s installed, you’ll find it listed among your Extensions, which you can see by clicking the small puzzle icon to the right of the address bar in Chrome browser.
If this is your first time using NuFi, you’ll need to create a new wallet or restore an existing Cardano or Solana wallet either by using a seed phrase or by pairing your Ledger/Trezor hardware wallet. To get started, open the NuFi Chrome extension and follow the onscreen instructions.
If you already have a NuFi wallet, you’ll need to migrate your existing NuFi wallet to the Chrome extension. It takes less than 20 seconds to do this:
- Log in to your wallet at https://wallet.nu.fi
- Navigate to the Settings screen and ‘Export profile’ — this will download a backup file of your wallet
- Open the NuFi Chrome extension and choose ‘Restore Wallet’
- Upload the backup file.
When that’s done, you’ll see all of your accounts (hardware and non-hardware) and assets available in NuFi’s Chrome extension; now you’re ready to connect to your favorite dApps!
When asked what is the potential of the new Chrome extension, Michal Petro, NuFi CEO, said:

In a couple of months, NuFi will make it easier to use a single wallet across multiple devices and platforms by adding encrypted cloud-based backup and restore functionality. With this, users will be able to sync their wallet on new devices securely using a single secret recovery phrase to restore all hardware and non-hardware accounts, wallet customizations (such as custom account names), and custom tokens that have been imported.
Moreover, in the near future, NuFi will integrate more Proof-of-Stake blockchains and will invest big in its NFT gallery to make it even easier for collectors to manage their NFTs in-app, and — for the first time ever — Flow NFT collectors will soon be able to store their collectibles directly on their Ledger hardware wallet using NuFi.
